A sleep disorder can be defined as a medical disorder that disturbs the normal sleeping pattern of an individual and sleep disorders are known to cause sleep disturbances on a regular basis for a prolonged period of time. Due to Narcolepsy, a person can fall asleep at any point of time during the day and even when he is busy in performing some activity. Disturbed sleep leads to sleep apnea, a specific sleep disorder and as an individual suffers from sleep apnea, he encounters breathing problems while sleeping. A patient of sleep apnea has specific pauses in breathing while he is asleep and as each of these pauses last for a long period of time; it is likely for a victim of sleep apnea to miss out two or three breaths in one pause.
